The Nicolaus Bruhns Choir Husum has been founded in 2018 by the church music student Malte Wienhues. The choir is named after the important baroque composer Nicolaus Bruhns, who was a church musician in the Church of St. Marien in Husum (Northern Germany) at the end of the 17th century.

Therefore the choir’s main focus is on baroque choral music, especially on works by Nicolaus Bruhns and Johann Sebastian Bach.  However, the choir is also open to music from other eras. The currently 15 singers meet about every two to three weeks for rehearsals.

We are always happy to receive inquiries about long-term choir projects that broaden our horizons or even cross national borders! Please use our contact page or write Malte Wienhues directly, we are looking forward to your message!
